The Port Ludlow Village Council presents its Second Annual Canine Costume Contest on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM — just in time for Halloween.
Dog owners will dress their canines in comfortable costumes and follow a short parade route along the waterfront, led by a Grand Marshall. An esteemed judge will select first, second, and third place winners, with a prize awarded to each.
New this year: the Scarecrow Walk! Homemade scarecrow creations will be displayed along the parade route during the event.
The event is free to enter and attend, and open to all. There will also be a super prize for "BEST IN CROW," chosen by community vote during the event — winner announced at the end. Must be present to win.
All participating dogs must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations.
Contest entry, event details, and additional information are available through the organizer's website.
